Turn a rough idea into a printable flyer or price list: AI-drafted text, a Magic Design layout, and your own photos and colors.
Who it is for
Sole traders and small teams who need a decent flyer fast and have no designer. Canva's Magic tools can add stock or AI content, so check every image and word before you print or post.
Tools
A free Canva account
ChatGPT or Claude to draft the words
Your logo, photos and brand colors if you have them
Steps
Run the prompt below in ChatGPT or Claude and keep the text it drafts.
On the Canva homepage, use the Canva AI search box and describe the design, for example a one-page price list for a home bakery. Canva's help page says Magic Design suggests templates based on the images, text or ideas you provide.
If your Brand Kit is set up, apply it so colors and fonts match. The help page lists an Apply Brand Kit option in the flow.
Review the suggested templates and pick one. Magic Design arranges and styles your content; it does not write your copy for you.
Replace any watermarked stock content. Canva says free accounts can upgrade, buy the Pro item, or replace it before download.
Swap in the drafted text and your own photos. Check every fact, price and date by eye.
Download and proof a printed copy before you order a run or post it.
The prompt
Help me write the words for a one-page flyer.
Business: [NAME, what you do, town]
Offer or event: [WHAT, DATE, PRICE]
3 things customers care about: [LIST]
Contact: [PHONE, EMAIL or ADDRESS]
Write:
- A headline of 8 words or fewer
- 3 short bullet points from my list
- A one-line call to action with my contact details
Rules:
- Use only the facts I gave you. No invented discounts, deadlines or claims.
- Plain words, friendly tone.
- Show me the text first. Do not post or send anything.
Tips
Give Magic Design more context for better results; Canva's help page says the more instruction you give, the better the result.
Magic Media generates images and short clips from text if a layout needs a custom visual.
Keep a copy of the drafted text so the next flyer starts from your words, not a blank box.
