Unit 6: Keep it draft-only · Lesson 3 of 3 · about 5 min

Audit a bot without letting it fix things

You gave each of your 3 bots standing instructions. You suspect one is freelancing, and you want the slips quoted so you can fix them at the source.

You're practising: Getting slipped instructions quoted with both wordings, and nothing changed without you.

The mistake to catch: Agents that can act will act. Make sure nothing is sent, deleted or changed without you.

1. Open the prompt

Open Audit your bot instructions every weekand copy its prompt into your AI. Any AI works.

2. Give it this sample data

You gave (sample fleet):
- Inbox Bot: "Never send email without approval."
- Social Bot: "No links in the first line."
- Invoice Bot: "Flag invoices due within 7 days."

Each bot says it follows:
- Inbox Bot: "I draft replies and send routine confirmations myself."
- Social Bot: "I put the link up top so it gets clicked."
- Invoice Bot: "I flag invoices due within 10 days."

Your task: Ask your AI to compare what each bot says it follows with the instructions you gave, flag every slip with both wordings side by side, rank the flags by risk, and change nothing.

3. Paste your AI's answer

Checked in your browser with plain rules. Your answer isn't sent or stored anywhere.
