Unit 5: Put the urgent thing first · Lesson 1 of 4 · about 6 min

Summarize service calls and promises

Your HVAC shop took three calls this morning. You want a summary for the team: who called, what was promised, and what to do next, urgent first.

You're practising: Keeping the promises made on each call, putting the urgent one first, and not adding prices nobody quoted.

The mistake to catch: AI lists things in the order it read them, not in the order they matter.

1. Open the prompt

Open Summarize customer calls and flag local leadsand copy its prompt into your AI. Any AI works.

2. Give it this sample data

Call 1 (9:05 AM): Maria, Bella's Bistro. "Our rooftop unit died, the kitchen is 95 degrees and we open at 5." Your dispatcher promised a tech on site by 3 PM today.
Call 2 (9:40 AM): Greg Hollis, home furnace making a rattling noise, still heating fine. Wants a visit next week, mornings only, any day but Wednesday.
Call 3 (10:15 AM): Mrs. Patel. "Just calling to say thank you, the new thermostat works great."

Your task: Ask your AI for a short summary of each call with any promise made and the next step, urgent call first. No prices, since none were quoted.

3. Paste your AI's answer
