Unit 1: Keep the facts exact · Lesson 1 of 3 · about 5 min
Follow up on a quote that went quiet
You run a deck company. Two days ago you sent a quote and heard nothing back. You want a friendly nudge that reminds them what they asked for and makes replying easy.
You're practising: Getting a short, honest follow-up that uses only the facts you gave it.
The mistake to catch: AI rounds, drops or rewrites the details that matter: amounts, invoice numbers, dates.
1. Open the prompt
Open Follow up on quotes that went coldand copy its prompt into your AI. Any AI works.
2. Give it this sample data
Business: Cedar Line Decks (sample) Quote sent: Oct 26, 2026 Amount: $3,400 Job: replace the back deck boards and railings (about 220 sq ft), reuse the existing frame, haul away the old boards Useful extra: 25-year manufacturer warranty on the composite boards Customer: [customer name] Sign as: [your name], Cedar Line Decks
Your task: Ask your AI for the day 2 follow-up email only: under 120 words, with a subject line, no pressure, and an easy next step.
3. Paste your AI's answer
