Unit 3: Check its math · Lesson 3 of 4 · about 6 min

Get trip totals right

You are comparing three options for a 4-night work trip. On the real run, the first totals came out $300 to $400 too high, so you want the math shown.

You're practising: Making your AI show its math, so wrong totals are easy to catch before you book.

The mistake to catch: AI totals look right and are often wrong. Make it show the math.

1. Open the prompt

Open How to plan a trip with Grok Bot (approve before it books)and copy its prompt into your AI. Any AI works.

2. Give it this sample data

4 nights, same dates for every option.

Option A: flight $420 round trip, hotel $160 a night
Option B: flight $380 round trip, hotel $210 a night
Option C: flight $510 round trip, hotel $135 a night

Your task: Ask your AI for the total of each option with the math shown, the cheapest option, and a reminder that nothing is booked yet.

3. Paste your AI's answer

Checked in your browser with plain rules. Your answer isn't sent or stored anywhere.
