What does this setup do?

You tell ChatGPT the area, date, time, party size, and what you want, it shows restaurants with open reservation times from OpenTable, Resy, or Yelp, and you pick one and confirm the booking yourself.

How do you set it up?

Tools

• ChatGPT on a personal plan (Free, Go, Plus, or Pro). Reservation search isn't in ChatGPT Work or Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspaces.
• Your area, date, time window, party size, and any must-haves like dietary needs or budget
• An OpenTable, Resy, or Yelp account if the restaurant asks for one. Resy uses its own sign-in.

Steps

1. Open a new chat and paste the prompt below with your details filled in.
2. Look at the restaurants and open times ChatGPT shows. Reservation times only appear when OpenTable, Resy, or Yelp has that restaurant listed.
3. Ask follow-ups to narrow it down, like quieter spots, a different time, or a specific restaurant.
4. Select a time or Reserve, check the date, time, and party size, and finish the booking. Some bookings finish inside ChatGPT, and others send you to the provider, for example when a card is needed.
5. Wait for the confirmation email from the provider. ChatGPT doesn't save, change, or cancel reservations, so use that email for any changes.
