Quick answer
Give the AI your product facts and Amazon's field rules, then draft the title, five bullet points, and description in one pass and check each against the listing requirements before publishing. Amazon's own seller guide says to write clear titles with product name, brand, and features, use concise bullets for features and benefits, and fill every relevant product attribute.

Basis (estimate): Estimate only: Amazon requires a title, five bullets, a description, and keyword fields; an AI first draft removes the blank-page portion of that work.
What does this setup do?
Draft an Amazon title, bullet points, and description that fit Amazon's field limits and style rules, from your product facts, with you approving every word.
Who is it for?
Sellers listing their own products on Amazon who want compliant copy without staring at a blank form.
How do you set it up?
Tools
- A ChatGPT or Claude account (free tier works)
- An Amazon seller account with the product ready to list
- Your product facts: brand, size, materials, dimensions, GTIN or exemption status
- Amazon's category-specific listing template for your product type
Steps
- Confirm your product ID first: most products need a 12 to 14 digit GTIN (UPC, EAN, JAN, or ISBN), or a GTIN exemption if you qualify.
- Pick the most specific category available; Amazon treats category placement as one of the strongest signals for search indexing.
- Draft the title with the AI: brand plus product type plus key features (size, color, quantity), staying within the character limit your category enforces and avoiding repeated words.
- Write up to five bullet points, one benefit per bullet, weaving in secondary keywords; do not repeat the title text in the bullets.
- Write the description: expand on benefits and use cases and answer the questions shoppers ask; brand-registered sellers can build A+ Content instead.
- Fill the backend keyword fields with synonyms, alternate spellings, and phrases that did not fit the visible copy.
- Read the finished copy against Amazon's listing policies, fix anything the AI guessed at, and publish only after your review.
Example output
Illustrative. Your results will differ.
- 10 product descriptions drafted, no duplicates
- Each one names the feature and the benefit
- Edit the ones that matter most. Publish when ready.

You are helping me write an Amazon product listing that follows Amazon's listing rules. Here are my product facts:
Product: [product name]
Brand: [brand]
Category: [Amazon category]
Key features: [materials, size, dimensions, what's included]
GTIN: [UPC/EAN or "exemption requested"]
Target keywords: [2-4 phrases shoppers search]
Write:
1. A product title (brand + product type + key features, within Amazon's character limit, no word repeated more than twice, no promotional phrases like "best seller")
2. Five bullet points (one benefit per bullet, start each with the benefit, include secondary keywords naturally)
3. A product description (benefits and use cases, answers to common questions, no HTML, no shipping or promotional claims)
4. A list of backend search terms (synonyms and alternate spellings not already used above)
Rules: use only the facts I gave you. Mark anything you are unsure about with [VERIFY]. Show me the full draft first. I will review and approve before anything is published.Newsletter

What usually goes wrong?
Where agents tend to stall on this job. More patterns in Where AI gets stuck.
- AI cannot verify your GTIN or exemption status; confirm it in Seller Central before listing.
- Category rules and field limits change; check the current template rather than trusting the AI's memory.
- Keyword stuffing and promotional phrases can get a listing suppressed; keep copy factual.
- The AI may invent specifications; every number must come from your product facts.

Common questions
- How long can an Amazon title be?
- Most categories allow up to 200 characters, and Amazon advises against repeating any word more than twice. Keep it to brand, product type, and key features.
- How many bullet points should I use?
- Up to five. Put the most important benefit first, lead each bullet with the benefit rather than the feature, and do not copy the title into the bullets.
- Do I need a UPC to list on Amazon?
- Most products need a 12 to 14 digit GTIN such as a UPC or EAN. If your product does not have one, you may be eligible to request a GTIN exemption in Seller Central.
What tips make it smoother?
- Complete every product attribute in the category template; Amazon says products with complete attributes are easier for customers to find.
- Front-load the main keyword in the title; it is the most weighted field for search.
- Keep a running list of customer questions and fold the answers into the description over time.
