Unit 3: Check its math · Lesson 2 of 4 · about 6 min
Find software you pay for twice
Your card statement is full of small monthly charges. You want to know what you spend, what overlaps, and what you have stopped using.
You're practising: Adding up subscriptions correctly, spotting overlaps and unused tools, and drafting a cancellation without cancelling anything.
The mistake to catch: AI totals look right and are often wrong. Make it show the math.
1. Open the prompt
Open Track recurring software spend and idle chargesand copy its prompt into your AI. Any AI works.
2. Give it this sample data
Monthly subscriptions (sample): - Canva Pro: $15.00 - used this week - Zoom Pro: $15.99 - last used 2 months ago - Google Workspace (includes Google Meet): $14.00 - used daily - Notion: $10.00 - used daily - Trello: $5.00 - used weekly - Adobe Express: $9.99 - last used 4 months ago - Loom: $15.00 - last used 5 months ago - Calendly: $12.00 - used daily
Your task: Ask your AI for a table with the monthly total, the tools that overlap, the ones you are not using, and one draft cancellation message. Nothing gets cancelled.
3. Paste your AI's answer
