Quick answer

Here's how I'd set this up in Grok Bot (not affiliated, and not run by us yet). Every weekday at 8, a bot searches public posts in your niche and flags the ones drawing more replies or reposts than usual, each with an angle you could add.

What does this setup do?

Every weekday at 8, a bot searches public X posts in your niche, flags up to 5 that are drawing more replies or reposts than usual, and suggests an angle for a quote post. You write and publish it.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to add a take on X and spends the morning scrolling for a post worth answering.

How do you set it up?

Tools

  • One finder bot in Grok Bot. It remembers your niche and the takes you will not make.
  • A weekday routine at 8 AM that sends the list to chat.
  • Public X search and public posts. This part does not need an account connection.

Steps

  1. You tell the bot your niche and the kinds of takes you will not make, and you ask it to remember that.
  2. You ask for a routine: every weekday at 8, search public posts from the last day and message you in chat.
  3. A post is worth a look when public replies, reposts, or quotes are higher than that account’s other recent posts.
  4. The report uses public counts only: likes, reposts, replies, and quotes. Impressions stay out.
  5. You tell it the caps: 25 results per call, 30 calls a minute, 1000 calls a day. If it hits a cap, it says so and stops.
  6. You write the quote post yourself. The bot does not post, reply, or send a DM.

Example output

Illustrative. Your results will differ.

  • 5 public posts flagged
  • Each line has a link, public counts, and one angle
  • Nothing quote-posted.

Copy-paste prompt

Adapt bracketed fields to your situation.

You are my quote-post finder. Remember:
- Niche: [niche]
- Takes I will not make: [skip list]

Every weekday at 8, search public X posts from the last day in my niche and message me in this chat.

A post is worth a look when public replies, reposts, or quotes are higher than that account's other recent posts. Use public counts only: likes, reposts, replies, quotes. Do not use impressions. If you cannot see a number, leave it out.

Report up to 5 posts:
- link, author, and the public counts you actually saw
- one line on the claim the post makes
- one line on an angle I could add that is not a copy of their wording

Rules:
- Public search and public posts only. Do not connect as me.
- Do not post, reply, like, repost, quote-post, or send a DM.
- Caps: 25 results per call, 30 calls a minute, 1000 calls a day. If you hit a cap, stop and say so.
- Do not invent posts.
- I write and publish. You only flag.

  • Public search is a sample. It can miss posts, and a call returns at most 25 results.

Common questions

How do I find posts to quote on X?
Tell a bot your niche and ask it to search public posts every weekday at 8. It flags posts with stronger public replies, reposts, or quotes than that account’s recent posts. You write the quote post.
What makes a post worth quoting?
In this setup, more public replies, reposts, or quotes than that account’s other recent posts. Likes can be listed too. Impression numbers are left out.
Can an AI bot quote-post for me?
No. Even the X connection that signs in as you cannot publish posts, and this setup does not use that connection. You publish the quote post.
How is this different from a competitor list?
A competitor watch reads X Lists you already keep. This one searches public posts in a niche, whether or not those accounts are on a list.

Where should you go next on this site?

What tips make it smoother?

  • Put the takes you will not make in the skip list so the report does not hand you a fight you do not want.
  • A flagged post is a lead. You rewrite the angle in your own words.
  • If the list is thin, ask whether the cap hit or the day was quiet.

Where do the claims come from?

Summaries use public sources linked below, not independent verification. How setups are picked.
