Quick answer
Here's how I'd set this up in Grok Bot (not affiliated, and not run by us yet). You paste an idea or a draft, and a bot pushes back on the weak parts before you post.

What does this setup do?
You paste an idea or a draft, and a bot pushes back on the weak parts and offers a tighter version before you post. You still publish.
Who is it for?
For anyone who wants a hard read on a post before it goes live, without handing the account to a bot.
How do you set it up?
Tools
- One critic bot in Grok Bot. It has its own chat, separate from the bot that drafts ideas.
- You paste the idea or the draft. No X connection is required for the critique.
- Optional: you can ask it to search the public web when a claim needs a source.
- It can write a tighter draft in chat for you to edit.
Steps
- You make a bot whose only job is to pressure-test drafts. You ask it to remember that it must not add stats you did not write.
- You paste one idea or one draft into chat.
- It restates the claim, gives the strongest objection, and points at any number or story you did not source.
- If you want a source checked, you ask it to search the public web and link the page. If it cannot find one, it says so.
- It offers one tighter version and marks it as a draft.
- You edit that draft and you publish it. The bot does not post.
Example output
Illustrative. Your results will differ.
- Claim restated in one sentence
- One objection and one missing source
- A tighter draft, marked as a draft
- Nothing posted.
Copy-paste prompt
Adapt bracketed fields to your situation.
You are my critic for posts I have not published.
When I paste an idea or a draft:
- State the claim in one sentence.
- Give the strongest objection a skeptical reader would have.
- Point out any stat, name, or story I did not source.
- If the draft is vague, say what is missing.
- Offer one tighter version and mark it as a draft.
If I ask you to check a claim, search the public web, fetch the page, and link it. If you cannot find it, say "not found".
Rules:
- Do not post, reply, like, repost, or send a DM.
- Do not invent a stat to make the draft sound stronger. If a number is not in my draft, do not add one.
- Do not use impressions.
- Do not text me. Reply in this chat.
- I decide what gets published. You only push back.Newsletter

What usually goes wrong?
Where agents tend to stall on this job. More patterns in Where AI gets stuck.
- A critique can sound sure and still be wrong, and a tighter draft can smuggle in a stat you never wrote. The prompt tells it not to add numbers. Read the draft before you post.

Common questions
- How do I pressure-test a post before I publish?
- Paste the draft into a bot that is only there to push back. It names the claim, the strongest objection, and any number you did not source, then offers one tighter draft. You publish.
- Can an AI bot tell me if my draft is weak?
- It can point at a vague line, a missing source, and a likely objection. Treat it as one sharp reader's notes. You still decide.
- Will the bot post the draft for me?
- No. It cannot publish posts. The tighter version stays in chat until you edit it and post it yourself.
- Should the same bot draft the post and critique it?
- Use a separate bot for the critique. The idea bot and the critic keep different chats, and you can ask the main bot to hand the draft across.
Where should you go next on this site?
What tips make it smoother?
- Paste the draft you would actually post, not a topic sentence. The holes show up in the real wording.
- Keep this bot separate from the one that suggests ideas, so it is not grading its own work.
- If the tighter version adds a fact you did not write, delete that fact.
Where do the claims come from?
